About Me

I was born in Scotland 39od years ago moved to Wales at a year old

Spent the best part of my life in the hills and valleys of both North and South Wales.

Then I moved to Essex then back to Wales then to Grantham where I have spent the last 18yrs.Married Lorraine everyone only gave us a year (now in our 17th) and obtained "some how??" one boy Richard and a girl Katrina two of the best kids a father could ever have.

Throughout my moving I have crossed paths with many horses but it was on the 2nd Oct 1993 when, my wife informed me that I have just bought a welsh section A by the name of Whitemonks Miss Ellie I went to see her and fell in love for that little 3yo, that was the start of it all.

She had been backed so both the kids were willing to ride her.

We went to gymkana after gymkana then the showing bug bit us, watching all them welsh ponies and cobs being shown around the ring,

I thought what have I been missing.

Since then I have shown countless times nearly always in the ribbons with sections As.Cs.Ds.Also Welsh part bread's Fillies Colts Mares and Stallions not all my own but each one as much fun as the last .

It must seem funny to someone who has never shown how can anyone have fun out of running with a animal round a ring showing the animal off, all them early mornings, late nights cleaning tack. Don't let anyone tell you deferent you go to win and win you must!

The feeling of that hard-earned 1st

is the best feeling in the world.

There is only one time that I feel bad that is when I make a mistake and we don't get placed it has got to be the worst feeling ever.

The welsh ponies and cobs are all individual each one having there own character likes and dislikes.

On the hole one off the most Versatile Friendly animals in the world.

We were up to thirteen ponies and cobs when we thought.

The world was going to end in June 2001.

I was diagnosed at the age of 34 having eye cancer and we came to a decision to sell what we could before I went to hospital in October 2001 a hard decision to make as we had a job for every one of them that were sold .The next chapter in my life is to start soon I will be back in the ring in 2007 and we will have a surprise for you all so watch this space and if you see us at a show come over and say hello life is to short to wonder!!! Go out and enjoy ask questions and

 LOVE what you do.

That's enough about me have a good look around my web pages and enjoy.
